The cover-up of important information from the viewer, and fight and chase scenes are common methods in all of the thriller subgenres, although each subgenre has its own unique characteristics and methods. The thriller genre was first introduced in the 1920’s and since then there have been a variety of sub genre thrillers such as action thriller, crime thriller, drama thriller, spy thriller, horror thriller and many more.
